TOGETHER FOR A BETTER VET! Meeting in Zaragoza
TOGETHER FOR A BETTER VET!, a KA2 project dedicated to improving the quality of Vocational Training
mobility, held a training course organized by Mundus in Zaragoza
From 26th to 28th of October, two representatives from IFOM participated in another Learning Teaching
Training Activity of the KA2 project “TOGETHER FOR A BETTER VET”, that was held by the partner institution
Mundus in Zaragoza. The main purpose of these training activities was to refine the skills of the group
supervisors and to expand their network of contact, by exchanging good practices between the partners
and creating new guiding materials. In this way we are able to constantly improve the quality of the
mobility projects in our Vocational Training department.
Thanks to this training and the various international meetings provided by the “TOGETHER FOR A BETTER
VET!”, the teachers and tutors from all partner institutions had the opportunity to exchange with each other
personal knowledge, experience and practice. Apart from those from IFOM, representatives of SUN
DREAMS, Elektroniczne Zaklady Naukowe in Wroclaw, Zespół Szkół Ponadpodstawowych in Bystrzyca
Klodzka and our hosts from Asociación Mundus also attended the last LTTA in Zaragoza . The wide variety
of backgrounds and points of view of the participants (teachers, coordinators of organizations, mentors,
etc.), contributed to the creation of a professional environment where everyone managed to share useful
experiences. By the end of this LTTA we were able to collect a series of important guidelines that will be
useful for the training of the supervisors who accompany the students doing their internships, in order for
them to be better prepared for their role as mentors of the young generation.

TOGETHER FOR A BETTER VET! Meeting in Bologna
This "Together for a better Vet" meeting took place in Bologna from the 25th to the 29th of November 2021. Several members of Mundus, Sundreams, Elektroniczne Zakłady Naukowe, ZSP Bystrzyca Kłodzka worked together at IFOM's headquarters.
The main topic we discussed about was the figure of the students' tutor, namely the person traveling with the students and looking after them during their stay abroad.
We tried to define which skills make a tutor a valuable one, keeping in mind the big responsibilities he/she carries. We focused our attention on different aspects concerning the role of the tutor:
- Comparison between young volunteers and actual professors: pro and cons of having them traveling with students
- What training the tutor should have before leaving with students, if any
- How he/she should be selected
- What his/her main tasks are
- How he/she should behave if he/she's called to deal with unexpected situations or issues
- What his/her relationship with the hosting companies should be
During this meeting, we had the chance to visit a school participating in VET projects (I.T.C.S. Rosa Luxemburg and and I.T.C.S. Gaetano Salvemini) two long term IFOM's hosting partners (Associazione Interculturale Universo and Marchignoli Assistenza Tecnica Informatica) and discuss directly with them the points listed above. They both agreed on the importance of the tutor, not only when it comes to look after the students and make sure they respect the rules they're given, but also and most importantly in terms of motivating and pushing them to do their absolute best throughout their internship.
The final compendium will contain a deeper analysis of the topics summarized above.

TOGETHER FOR A BETTER VET! Meeting in Bystrzyca Klodzka
The aim of the project was to develop a guide for future tutors of groups going on foreign professional internships to various EU countries. This guide was created as a result of cooperation and exchange of experiences of many teachers - guardians of schoolchildren under the Erasmus+ program. Employers who hosted students in their companies, as well as representatives of intermediary organizations responsible for logistics, also shared their experiences. The content of the guide is therefore based on good practices of a large group of experienced people.
The guide was created during many partner meetings, both online and stationary. They became an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and get acquainted with the vocational education system in these countries.
The final stage of the project was the summarizing conference organized at the Secondary School Complex in Bystrzyca Klodzka, attended by all project partners, students leaving for professional internships abroad, as well as representatives of the City and Commune Office in Bystrzyca Klodzka.
